For centuries, Mankind has pondered a very perplexing question. If God exists why does He allow evil to exist in this world. When we take a closer look at Mankind, we see that we have been constantly plagued with war, destruction, crime, lawlessness, violence, selfishness and evil... Things we feel God should eliminate if He existed.
Over time and from study of the scriptures, God has made Himself known and you would think that with God's attributes, evil would not be allowed to exist. The following are God's declaration of who He is...
With the state of the world, one could conclude that God isn't really all powerful and all good or God doesn't care. You would think that if God exists, He would rid evil from this world. So why is evil allowed to exist and prosper on this planet?
At first observation, it seems that God is really powerless or at worse, non existent, but after close examination of Bible scripture it's revealed that evil exists because of Satan's rebellion against God in Heaven.
When God created man, He gave us the ability to make our own decisions. In other words, God gave Mankind Free Will and with Free Will comes consequences, good or bad, from the decisions we make. But what have we done with our Free Will? We've made decisions that breed death, selfishness and the destruction of others and Evil exists, aside from Satan, because Mankind has Free Will and exercises poor decisions that hurt ourselves and others.
But, still why doesn't God destroy evil? The answer is quite simple... If God didn't allow evil, then the Free Will of mankind would not exist and we would be nothing more than robots or puppets to God. If God just destroyed Evil because He could, His creation would serve Him out of Fear, rather than Love.
God is allowing evil to continue to show what a governmental system looks like that is based on the principles of Satan and not God. So when you look at the world around you, you are witnessing the governmental principals that is at the core of what Satan wants for God's creation, selfishness. Satan's system is based upon putting yourself before others. The opposite of what God wants for His creation.
God wants us to care for others and place their consideration ahead and along side our desires and action. Giving into self is giving into the governmental principals of Satan which is designed to destroy yourself and others.
God wants Mankind to love Him by our own free choice. It's our decision. But make no mistake, God hates evil and will eventually destroy and judge all evil and those who practice it at the final judgment.
(Rev 20:11) And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
(Rev 20:12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
This coming judgment is called the Great White Throne judgment where God will judge the Wicked. At present we exist in what is known as Time. Time was created by God as a temporary rift in Eternity where Time has a Beginning and an End.
We now live and exist in time and one day God will stop time and Eternity will continue. Time will be no more. It is at this point, at the end of time, everyone will give account for what they have done in this life and God will render judgment to those who have not accepted or have rejected the Son of God, Jesus.
Why Can't we Simply Stop Evil?
Why can't we simply decide to do away with evil ourselves? The simple answer to this question is that we are living in what is called a Fallen State. We live in a world of sin and sinning is something that is natural for us to do. This is an inborn nature we all have and sin is what we practice.
Evil will not be eradicated from Mankind until Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom where sin and evil have no place to dwell. But until this day comes, our only hope is in turning our hearts and minds toward the Messiah Jesus and accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour. This is when He will work on our hearts helping us to make decisions that are in agreement with Gods wishes and not the evil sinful nature we all share in this world today.
|(Eze 36:26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.|
|(Jas 4:14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.|
|(Rev 3:3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.|
|Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid.

If you don't have a relationship with Jesus, please consider turning your heart and life over to God... He will either rescue you from your troubles or walk with you and encourage you as you go through them. Jesus will not let you down if you are His child..
